Newport, Oregon

Left Portland at 10am. Rusty saw us off. Kato was hiding under the bed. As is the norm in Portland, it was raining. Headed for the Oregon Coast. Found the Aquarium and admired the jellyfish and otters.

Checked into the Inn at Yaquina Bay, conveniently located across the street from the Rogue Brewery in South Beach. After a long afternoon of drinking beer at the brewery we agreed to carry a case of beer to Colorado. The bartender, Holly, recently moved from Colorado and wanted us to take something of the Oregon coast back to Green Mountain Falls, Co., outside Colorado Springs. Our first day out, and we have a mission. It’s a good omen.

For you following along at home, go into a Rogue public house and ask for a Quasimodo.
