Chrome

I took the left window frame to the chrome shop I used for the first batch of chrome and the restoration specialist is on vacation until March! Just my luck. Since I cannot wait that long, I’ve sent the window frame across the country to Paul’s Chrome. They have a very good reputation with the Hot Rod crowd and the high end restoration shops. Interior – Part Next

Some more of the undercarpet padding today. While this is an easy job, there is lots of measuring, cutting and fitting to do so it takes some time. With the cold weather we’ve been having I started to heat the garage about 8 this morning so it would be warm enough for the glue by 10. I stopped gluing by 2 to give it a chance to set before I turn off the heaters.

Window Frames

Of the two door windows, the left was badly damaged but had an operable winding cable while the right had real glass! Now that I’ve copied the glass (again) and the operable winding cable to the right door it is time to take the left frame to the chrome shop.
