Wiper motor – Cont

Given I had a 50/50 chance of reinstalling the wiper parking mechanism correclty do you think I picked the proper way around? Nope. Of course the adjuster is located in the back of the wiper motor and is impossable to get to so it looks like I’ll be taking it out again. One step forward, two steps back.

Window Frames – Continued

I worked a bit on getting the window frame to line up. I ended up using a stack of washers on the lower two of the four bolts holding the window frame. While it is not perfect, it is much better than before. Johan dropped me a note saying he had similar issues after getting his window frames back from the chrome shop. I wonder if we used the same shop? I did manage...

Drive and punchlist

First real drive around the block today. Real drive means the doors and windows are on the car. I have a lot remaining todo. The list got a bit longer after the drive.On the very negative side, the money I spent on repair and replating of the drives side window frame seems to have been wasted. The window frame doesn’t fit well with 1/4″ gap at the top when the door is aligned properly....

Broken Clutch – Update

The new clutch acuating rod arrived yesterday and took a grand total of 10 minutes to install. I’m keeping the old broken one in my spares kit just in case. I’m also going to talk to a couple of my mechanical engineering friends to see what can be done to improve the design.
