Tires

In the midst of the last track day my tires went off. My preference is to use a set of Avon ACB10′s. This would mean buying a new set of wheels. With the higher performance tires, I also want to upgrade the brakes. With a live axle car the brake upgrade options are a bit limited and may force me to change from the Marina/Ital bolt pattern to a Ford bolt pattern. All this is way too much to get done before my next track day on Friday so I ended up using the same tire I have on the car now. The only real upgrade is the Yokohama A032R is now available in a soft compound. The hard compound tire I had on the car lasted a long time and worked well. I expect the soft tires to work better but not last as long. Stay tuned.
