I found one of the problems with the wiper motor. Poor ground. I’ve installed a new ground wire. Not sure if this was causing the blown fuse but at least I found something!

Major downtime

Last night my webhosting provider moved services from one data center to another during a scheduled downtime. All went well until a DOS attack that took out the connections in the new data center. 9 hours latter things came back up. Glad I wasn’t involved in the downtime! As you may recall, I’ve been having problems with a blown fuse. Well, I think I found the culprit. While checking to make sure all the electrical stuff was working, I blew another fuse. I replaced, the fuse and noticed the wiper motor was on. Since the arms aren’t on it is not obvious when the wipers are on. I turned them off and then back on. This time the wipers didn’t work. I...

Windows

It was time to install the windshield and the rear window. I searched the mailing list archives, read everything I could and chickened out. Instead of installing the window myself, I called a local window outfit and arranged for installation. Two guys came out to the house and an hour later both windows were in. Much easier than doing it myself.
