I made actual progress on the punch list over the last couple of days.
The big achievement was getting the speedo working. I pulled the cable and the speedo and hooked everything together on the bench. On the transmission end I put my trusty drill motor. On with the drill and everything worked. Strange. A little pull on the cable and it doesn’t work. Ah! The little plastic stop on the speedo end of the cable had slipped just enough that it didn’t seat properly in the speedo. A little push and a tug, reinstall the speedo and it works!
On the minus, the cheap wire I used on the right hand window lift broke. I pulled the door apart and restrung it using the same wire rope I used on the left door. It works much better now.
