On the way home from the local Lotus Club meeting I broke 100 miles of test drives. I therefore declare the restoration of my Elan complete! Yeah! Everything else is maintenance, even the few things I haven’t completed yet.
Everyone at the meeting was very happy for me and complemented the restoration. It is a great feeling to have people look at your work and give you a “great job” One guy even wants me to complete the restoration of his car! I really need to think long and hard about that one.
While I was waiting outside the meeting place a man came over to admire the car. He had been fascinated by Lotus Elans for 20 years and this was the first Coupe’ he had ever seen in person. Wow, did that stroke my ego!
