Thoughts on the Intinerary

The British weather is extremely variable. To ensure that you have a great holiday please come prepared for every conceivable type of weather.

Between that warning and the suggestion, no the essential, bringing of waterproof everything I think it might rain on us. Oh well I don’t think that will dampen our spirits.

Nadya had a chuckle when reading the note from David regarding our lodging. “We certainly seem to have a VERY English variety of lodging – 18th century coaching inn, fortified farm (from when?), Edwardian and Victorian houses.” Of course I was curious about when the farm was fortified too.

I am starting to second guess my choice pack. I want need to carry my camera and the essentials for the day hikes but with the new list, I might not have enough room to carry lunch and every known wet weather accessory. A test pack and walk is necessary. The weather here is raining, so it is a good time to test all the gear.
