Jet Lag and the Weather

Took a long walk last night to combat jet lag and ended up on Carneby Street. No mod sightings but we did find Lush and bought a couple of bath bombs. A hurried walk back to the hotel through sporadic drizzles. A long soak in a hot tub with lavender smelly stuff will put you to sleep. Flying British Airways

The flight was surprisingly tolerable. The world traveler plus meant we had slightly fancier, wider seats with more legroom. By the time I’d read the plane magazine, played with the video system and had dinner it was time for “bed”. Arrival in London

It is really:00 AM 13:58 but it feels like 05:58 We arrived after a long and uneventful flight. Checked into the hotel and popped next door to the local pub for a pint and bite. Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

More Airport Waiting

1120|200 We arrived at the airport at the crack of 11. No line to check in and we’re pleased to see our bags weigh in at 22 and 28 pounds. Check bags to Heathrow. Giggle madly. We did the required tour of the shops but our heart wasn’t in it. Wait in line at security – about 20 minutes during which I began to suspect that my daypack weighs 30 pounds.

Flying

So our flight is at 1:15 in the afternoon. Since we are on Boone time we arranged for the limo, did I mention the limo, to pick us up at 10:30.
