Butchart Gardens. Much more beautiful than the pictures. A very nice garden although there are sometimes too many people to find a nice quiet spot.

The flowers area amazing. We seemed to dwell on the dalias of all kinds.

Nadya and I agreed that the Empress needs to find a better way to get people into the tea. the hotel and tea room are quite elegant. Tea is served in several seatings throughout the day with reservations for your timeslot. On arrival at the tea room everyone stands in line for check-in and to wait for seating. In such an elegant place, and after making reservations, standing in line detracts from the experience.

The tea was very good, though our waitress was a bit flaky. But she did pour our milk and ask us if we wanted one lump or two.
