Continuing our desert national park tour we took an hour drive over to Joshua Tree National Park. If you’ve never seen a Joshua Tree think “Dr Seuss makes a tree” and you will understand.

Today is also the first time Nadya and I tried to synchronize the times on our cameras and the first time I’ll try to geocode the pictures. We’ll see how the geocoding works out when I have some more time.  But for now, here is today.

When we left Portland this morning there was still snow on the ground.  After a couple hour flight we arrived in Palm Springs.  The terminal is different with open air walkways between the gates and the other areas of the airport.  It was quite the (good) shock.

My phrase for 2009, “All trips start with a flight delay.”
