Day 60

Today for a few hours the three sweetest words in the English language were “End Speed Zone.”

I drove the Elise on the open road for the first time today. After an hour I was hot, sweaty, acutely aware that the car had not been designed for someone with Rubenesque hips, and had to pee. I didn’t want to stop; I was having too much fun.

It has been 28 days since the remodel began. Without being too optimistic, we are ahead of schedule a few days and there does not appear to be any major issues getting in the way of an on time completion. The cabinets arrived last Friday and will be installed this week just in time for Nadya to get back from Norway. I’m not sure when the appliances or granite will arrive but that is why we hired a project manager.
