The winter weather has slowed things down. Last October I was waiting for an estimate to finish the body work. The estimate was for 150 hours of labor. Ouch! Fiberglass complete
The major fiberglass work on the body is done, although the original estimate was way off. The damage to the left side doorwas more extensive than originally thought and the gel-coat was so severely cracked it made more sense to remove it. Elan Update
It has been a few months since the last posting mainly due to the sabbatical. Progress since the last posting: Hung front and rear suspension The new bumpers and bonnet did not fit very well. I tookthe original bumpers to Randall who is going to repairthem. As for the bonnet, we are trying to get another thatwas made from the original Lotus molds.
