Major downtime

Last night my webhosting provider moved services from one data center to another during a scheduled downtime. All went well until a DOS attack that took out the connections in the new data center. 9 hours latter things came back up. Glad I wasn’t involved in the downtime! The entire incident reminds me of the time I was the crisis manager when the VAXes crashed and it took about 12 hours to get then back up.
